Karie McGavock, 7th Grade Counselor
7th Grade Counselor Karie McGavock

Hello Broncos!

My name is Karie McGavock, and I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of the Mustang Bronco Family!

I bring over 15 years of experience in education, along with a deep dedication for supporting students. My purpose lies in inspiring and supporting the whole child, helping them grow both as students and as individuals.

Throughout my time in the classroom, I learned that my role went far beyond academics. I found great joy in teaching life skills, building relationships, and helping students grow not just as scholars, but as well-rounded individuals. I believe in offering structure, while also empowering students with choices and opportunities for growth through compromise.

This passion has naturally led me to the field of school counseling, where I can support students' academic, social, and emotional development. I’m so excited to serve as the 7th Grade Counselor and look forward to working closely with you and your child this school year!

Let’s make it a great one—Go Broncos!

Angie Larson, 8th Grade Counselor
Mrs. Larson & son

My name is Angie Larson, and I’m proud to serve as the 8th grade counselor here at MMS. This is my 20th year at this school, and each year I look forward to welcoming new students and supporting them throughout their journey.

A little about me: I’m a proud mom to an amazing 13-year-old boy. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Master’s in Education with a focus in School Counseling. Before joining MMS, I worked as a juvenile officer for the Canadian County Juvenile Bureau. After returning to school to pursue counseling, I found my home here and have loved being part of the Mustang community ever since.

I’m deeply passionate about advocating for students and committed to helping them succeed both academically and personally. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. I’m here to support your student every step of the way!
